Singing Teacher Responsibilities

Start and end lessons on time. Maintain a good attendance record. Teach half-hour one-to-one lessons to students. Liaise with staff and parents, determining student goals and objectives, and above all, follow our policies and procedures regarding student safety. 

Specific Job Duties:

– Guiding your students towards correct technique, and preparing students for a music recital performance.
– Teaching student’s proper breathing and use of diaphragm muscles, head voice, chest voice, middle voice, and pitch range improvement
– Motivating students, especially when they are struggling and progress is slow.
– Teaching lessons in relation to individual pupils’ needs
– Teaching student’s popular music by demonstration and explanation

Singing Teacher Responsibilities

Specific skills needed:

– Good vocal performance ability in order to inspire and motivate students to reach your level
– Some Music theory knowledge (Training provided)
​- Ability to connect with a wide range of students of different ages and backgrounds
– High standards of professionalism and professional ethics
– Good communication skills
